Key Responsibilities
As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a crucial role in helping students develop both academically and personally. Your responsibilities will include:
Provide one-on-one or small group assistance tailored to each student’s needs.
Support students in developing essential life and vocational skills.
Encourage participation in community-based learning and social activities.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to implement individual learning plans.
Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating space for learning.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to student reviews and planning.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
We’re looking for compassionate, proactive individuals who are committed to making a difference. Ideal candidates will have:
Previous experience supporting individuals with SEN, particularly in a post-16 setting.
A caring, patient, and understanding approach.
Strong interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and colleagues.
A collaborative mindset and a positive attitude.
Relevant training or qualifications in education or SEN support are desirable.
