SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist Provision | Tower Hamlets
Full-Time | September 2025 Start | Long-Term Role
Daily Rate: £95 - £105
Do you have a passion for supporting children with complex learning needs? Are you skilled in PECS, Makaton, and working with pre-verbal pupils?
SANZA Teaching Agency is proud to be recruiting exclusively on behalf of a fantastic primary school in Tower Hamlets, seeking a nurturing and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision from September 2025.
About the Setting:
Specialist SEN unit attached to a mainstream school
Supports 8 pupils with autism, communication needs, and developmental delays
Run by an experienced class teacher and supported by two dedicated TAs
Calm, structured environment focused on individualised learning
Excellent school leadership and a strong commitment to inclusion
Your Role Will Include:
Full-time support, Monday to Friday, term-time only
Collaborating with teachers and support staff to deliver personalised learning
Using PECS, Makaton, and visual aids to support communication
Leading sensory play and structured routines for pre-verbal pupils
Tracking progress towards EHCP goals and working closely with families and external professionals
We're Looking for Someone Who:
Has previous experience supporting children with complex SEND
Is confident using AAC methods like PECS and Makaton
Understands the needs of pre-verbal learners
Is calm, patient, and resilient with a positive attitude
Values teamwork and is committed to holistic, inclusive education
