Are you passionate about supporting young people with autism and learning difficulties? Join the dedicated team at one of our SEN Schools in Hackney, a specialist Key Stage 4 and 5 provision, designed to prepare students for adulthood.
About the Role:
As an SEN Support Assistant at this school, you'll play a key role in helping students develop independence, communication, and life skills. Working in a purpose-built environment with facilities like a cafe, training kitchen, and events space, you'll support students in gaining real-world experience and confidence.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Providing tailored support to students with autism and learning difficulties.
Assisting in the delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Encouraging participation in both classroom and community-based activities.
Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support.
Monitoring progress and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with students with SEN, particularly autism (preferred).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach.
Flexibility and enthusiasm for supporting students in both educational and vocational settings.
