Reception/Year 1 Teaching Assistant – Shoreham
Location: Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex
Start Date: September 2025
Full-Time (Monday to Friday) Term Time | Long-Term
Daily Rate: £90 – £100 (dependent on experience)
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a background in Early Years and Key Stage 1? A welcoming primary school in Shoreham is seeking a committed and skilled Reception/Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time from September.
About the Role:
Support pupils across Reception and Year 1, including children with a variety of SEN needs
Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging, inclusive learning
Provide 1:1 and small group support where required
Help promote a nurturing and structured classroom environment
Assist with classroom routines, behaviour management, and progress tracking
✅ Requirements:
Experience working in Reception and/or Year 1 is essential
Good understanding of EYFS and KS1 frameworks
Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)
A calm, patient, and proactive approach
A valid Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
