Academics are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching assistant to join a vibrant and welcoming two-form entry primary school in Fulham, starting September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school with an 'Excellent' Ofsted report, known for its nurturing ethos, strong leadership, and commitment to academic and personal development. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing 1 to 1 support to a child in Year with strong levels of autism and challenging behaviour.
SEN Teaching assistant role working 1 to 1 with a child in Year 2
Location: Primary school in Fulham
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: 3 ½ days a week
Salary: £95-£110 (Dependent on experience)
Responsibilities:
1 to 1 support to a verbal child with strong levels of autism and behaviour management
Work with an individual pupil to reinforce learning and help them reach their potential.
Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support strategies.
Monitor progress and document observations to inform teachers and specialists.
Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs and therapists to ensure a consistent and effective support approach.
Help with personal care tasks if required, such as feeding, toileting, or mobility support.The school benefits from onsite parking, local bus services drop you outside the school or it's a short walk from the local train station.
