Are you a compassionate and resilient individual with a desire to support children with special educational needs?
We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team at our vibrant and nurturing SEN school in Bexley.
About the School
The school caters to children and young people aged 4–18 with a range of complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), speech and language difficulties, and sensory processing needs.
The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant
* Work closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils’ learning and development
* Provide one-to-one or small group support tailored to individual EHCPs
* Use visual supports, sensory tools, and assistive technology where needed
* Support emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction
* Assist with personal care and mobility if required
* Contribute to a positive and consistent learning atmosphere
What We’re Looking For – SEN Teaching Assistant
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred, not essential)
* A caring, patient, and flexible approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to promoting inclusion and safeguarding
* Willingness to undertake training (Team Teach, Makaton, PECS, etc.)
