We are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to support students with additional learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Starting September 2025.
Duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with a range of special educational needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language, SEMH)
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities
Support pupils in developing social and emotional skills
Help implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in a school or other setting)
A calm, adaptable, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
A good level of literacy and numeracy
A willingness to undertake relevant training
(Desirable) A recognised TA or SEN qualification
