Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN)?
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a specialist SEN school in the heart of Southwark.
The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant
* Support students on a one-to-one or small group basis
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored, engaging lessons
* Use communication aids such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC devices (training can be provided)
* Help manage behaviour in a positive and supportive way
* Foster independence, confidence, and social development in students
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals
What We’re Looking For – SEN Teaching Assistant
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential)
* A calm, patient, and empathetic nature
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g. Team Teach, safeguarding, SEN strategies)
* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
