Are you a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students with SEN?
A thriving and inclusive secondary school in Greenwich is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team this September.
Key Responsibilities – SEN Teaching Assistant
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional needs
* Work alongside the SENCo and class teachers to implement EHCP targets
* Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
* Assist in behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
* Support students both in and out of the classroom, helping them to access the curriculum
* Track and monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff and parents where required
Requirements – SEN Teaching Assistant
* Minimum of 1 year experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school
* Experience supporting pupils with SEN (ASD, SEMH, ADHD, etc.)
* A strong academic background and excellent communication skills
* A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to support learning and behaviour
* A genuine passion for working with young people with additional needs
* Relevant training such as Team Teach, Safeguarding, or SEND CPD is highly desirable
