Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Worthing Salary: £90 – £110 per day (Depending on experience) Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Are you ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? GSL Education are looking for a committed and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to support students at a school in Worthing from September. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity ideal for someone passionate about inclusive education and dedicated to helping all learners thrive. The Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with students who require additional learning support due to autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, or other complex needs. You will play a vital role in helping them build confidence, achieve progress, and feel valued within the classroom environment. Key Responsibilities of SEN TA: Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to students with SEN. Implement and adapt activities based on individual education and behaviour plans. Encourage positive interactions, independence, and confidence. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to support personalised learning. Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to colleagues and parents. Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment. Who We’re Looking For: Experience working with children or young people with SEN, autism, ADHD, or similar needs. A calm, patient, and understanding approach to support and communication. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection practices. A relevant qualification in education, SEN, or childcare is desirable but not essential. A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one. What We Offer: Daily pay of £90 – £110, dependent on experience and qualifications.
