Job Description

SEN Teaching Assistant We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join the dedicated team at a client secondary school in Old Trafford. The successful candidate will provide individual and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs, ensuring they receive the appropriate support to access the curriculum and reach their full potential. The successful candidate can expect to earn up to £100 per day (depending on experience) and should be able to start on Monday 1st September 2025. Key Responsibilities: Provide individual and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs, as identified by the SENCo and class teachers. Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities, adapting the curriculum as necessary to meet the needs of students with SEN. Use a range of strategies and resources to support students with SEN, including visual aids, communication aids, and assistive technology. Collaborate with the SENCo and other teaching staff to assess the needs of students and develop personalised learning plans. Monitor and record the progress of students with SEN, providing regular feedback to parents and carers. Contribute to the development and review of the school's SEN policy and practice. Requirements: Experience of working with students with Special Educational Needs, preferably in a secondary school setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents. Ability to adapt and be flexible in response to the changing needs of students and the school.
