SEN Teaching Assistant - South East London
Start Date: September 2025
Location: South East London
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Salary: £90-£120 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and motivated individual to support students with a range of special educational needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support, both 1:1 and in small groups, to help pupils access learning and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
Provide individualised support to students with SEN in the classroom
Implement strategies recommended by external professionals (e.g. speech therapists, educational psychologists)
Assist with learning activities, classroom organisation, and behaviour support
Build positive, nurturing relationships with students, parents, and staff
Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children with SEN (in a school or care setting)
A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A good level of literacy and numeracy
A DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
Desirable:
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant certification)
Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, or SEMH
