SEN Teaching Assistant – Chichester
Location: Chichester, West Sussex
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Salary: £13.75 per hour

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary in Chichester. You will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.
Your Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils with SEN in accessing the curriculum
Creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment
Assisting with the development of personalised learning plans
Helping to manage behaviour positively and effectively
Working collaboratively with the wider school team and external professionals
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A genuine interest in education and inclusion
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification) are beneficial

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
