We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a number of specialist and mainstream schools across Northampton from September 2025. These full-time roles offer both long-term and permanent contracts, with opportunities for personal growth, training, and career progression in the field of SEND education. Whether you're an experienced SEN TA or someone passionate about entering the field, we want to hear from individuals committed to supporting students with additional needs in reaching their academic and personal goals. Role Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties Implement EHCP targets and work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to support differentiated learning Help manage behaviour in a positive and supportive way using school behaviour policies and de-escalation techniques Assist with personal care and mobility where required (training provided if necessary) Support students both inside and outside of the classroom, promoting independence and confidence Create a nurturing and inclusive environment where pupils feel safe, supported and understood Ideal Candidate: Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in schools, care, youth work or related settings) Calm, resilient, and adaptable - able to handle a variety of classroom situations with empathy and professionalism Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs Team player with the willingness to learn and participate in relevant training (e.g., safeguarding, Team Teach, autism awareness) Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one Why Join Us?
