Job Description
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? As a Recruitment Consultant at Tradewind Recruitment, I'm currently working with a fantastic primary school in Barnet that specialises in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). They are looking for dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join their team from September.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in a nurturing and well-resourced specialist setting. The school has a strong and supportive leadership team, and they are committed to providing ongoing training and development for all staff.
The role involves:
Supporting children with ASD in both group and 1:1 settings
Helping pupils to engage with the curriculum and reach their individual goals
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
Creating a calm, safe and positive learning environment
Assisting with personal care when required
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ideally ASD
Be calm, patient and resilient with a positive attitude
Show initiative and a willingness to learn
Have a genuine passion for helping children thrive
Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
