This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to students in Key Stages 3 and 4 who require additional support with their learning, social development, and emotional wellbeing.
About the Role
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with a range of SEN, including social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
Work closely with teachers, the SENCo, and the pastoral team to deliver personalised support plans
Help students develop confidence, resilience, and positive social skills
Assist with behaviour regulation and create a calm, nurturing classroom environment
Support with adapted learning resources and ensure students can fully access the curriculum
Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff to help shape ongoing support strategiesWhat We're Looking For
Experience supporting students with SEN and/or SEMH needs (in schools, youth work, or similar settings)
Patience, empathy, and excellent relationship-building skills
An understanding of positive behaviour management strategies
A flexible, calm, and proactive approach to challenges
