Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School Location: Hackney, London Start Date: September Salary: £100- £120 a day Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time Only Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Veritas Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Hackney to recruit a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time position to start as soon as possible, supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings. The Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs Lead or support small group interventions Help implement behaviour strategies and support emotional regulation Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored supportRequirements: We are looking for candidates who: Have experience working with children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH Are confident in managing challenging behaviour using positive strategies Are patient, resilient, and committed to helping every child succeed Can work effectively as part of a team and independentlyRelevant training in behaviour management or SEN (e.g., Team Teach, MAPA) is desirable but not essential.
