Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
You will provide one-to-one and small group support for students with Autism, helping them access learning and build life skills. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, empathetic, and truly committed to inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored lessons and care plans to support student development
Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
Support with personal care, feeding, and communication strategies
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents
Accurately maintain records in line with care and EHCP guidelines
Use specialist techniques and communication tools (e.g., PECS, Makaton) where required
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people with Autism (in education, care, or community settings)
A good understanding of Autism Spectrum Conditions and SEN best practices
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability, patience, and a calm, nurturing approach
