SEN Teaching Assistant – Hackney
Salary: £85 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time
GSL Education is seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Hackney. This rewarding role will involve providing tailored support to students with a variety of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with special educational needs.
Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver differentiated lessons that meet individual learning requirements.
Encourage students’ emotional, social, and academic development by building their confidence and independence.
Support the implementation of behaviour strategies under the guidance of senior staff.
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting students with SEN is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive, patient, and resilient approach to supporting children.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
