Full-Time Teaching Assistant - SEN (Complex & Severe Learning Difficulties)
Are you a resilient individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? We are currently recruiting to support a full-time Teaching Assistants to join a specialist school that provides outstanding care and education to pupils with complex and severe learning difficulties.
About the Role:
This is a rewarding opportunity to join a committed and supportive team in a school that caters to children with a wide range of additional needs, including physical disabilities, communication challenges, autism, and medical conditions. The successful candidate will provide individualised support to pupils to help them achieve their potential-both educationally and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with a range of complex needs to ensure a positive learning experience
- Assist with personal care, communication, and mobility (where required).
- Support pupils during lessons, activities, and therapy sessions.
- Use specialist strategies and resources to engage learners.
Ideal Candidate:
We're looking for someone who is:
- Empathetic, patient, and adaptable in their approach.
- Committed to supporting the progress and well-being of pupils with severe and complex needs.
- Able to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviours positively.
- Previous experience in an SEN setting is highly desirable, but we also welcome applicants with a strong interest in SEN and a willingness to learn.
