The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant
Qualiteach are seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join a hospital school based in Westminster from September. This is a full-time, long-term position supporting pupils aged 5–16 who are receiving medical treatment and have a range of special educational needs, including ASD, sensory impairments, and social-emotional difficulties.
You’ll work closely with class teachers, therapists, and medical staff to support learning both in and out of the classroom. Flexibility, patience, and empathy are key to success in this unique educational environment. You will also use strategies such as Makaton, PECS, and visual timetables to aid communication and learning.
