SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Ladywood, B16 Birmingham Pay Rate: £(Apply online only) Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) Start Date: ASAP Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm Are you experienced in supporting children with Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, or those who are non-verbal? A friendly and inclusive primary school in the Ladywood area is looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision. This is a fantastic opportunity to work long-term within a nurturing environment, providing essential support to children who require consistent routines, emotional guidance and communication strategies to succeed day to day. For the right candidate, there is potential for this role to be made permanent. What You'll Be Doing: Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups within a dedicated SEN provision Assisting children with ASD, SEMH and non-verbal needs using structured routines and visual aids Promoting emotional regulation and supporting behaviour positively Working with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised interventions Helping to create a calm, safe and engaging space for learningWho We're Looking For: Previous experience with ASD, SEMH or non-verbal children in a school or care setting A calm, resilient and nurturing nature Confidence in supporting emotional and behavioural needsWhy Work with Long Term Futures?
