SEN Teaching Assistant - Kettering
Full-time | Term-time only | Competitive Daily Rate
Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a number of Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools across Kettering, who are seeking dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in both primary and secondary settings.
These rewarding roles involve working with students who have a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), Speech and Language Needs, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Whether you're experienced in SEN or looking to start your journey in a specialist setting, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Providing 1:1 or small group support tailored to individual learning needs
Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
Supporting students with communication, sensory regulation, and social skills
Promoting independence and positive behaviour in and out of the classroom
Building trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and familiesRequirements:
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Patience, empathy, and resilience
Experience in an SEN or care setting is desirable but not essential
Strong communication skills and a team player attitude
Willingness to learn and take part in ongoing CPD
