SEN Teaching Assistant - Immediate Start - Mitcham
Are you a passionate and dedicated individual with experience supporting children with special educational needs? We are currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEN school in Mitcham to start ASAP.
🔹 Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
🔹 Location: Mitcham, South London
🔹 Start Date: Immediate
🔹 Daily Rate: £100 - £125 (depending on experience)
About the Role:
You will be working closely with students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine desire to help children achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support
Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored lessons
Support pupils' emotional, social, and academic development
Implement behaviour strategies and EHCP targets effectively
Work collaboratively with SENCOs, therapists, and other support staff
Requirements:
Previous experience working with SEN students (in school or similar settings)
A calm and nurturing approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
