SEN Teaching Assistant
We are partnered with a school seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team, working with children who have social, emotional and mental health needs. The Role:
You will provide essential support to pupils with SEMH needs, helping them to manage their emotions, develop coping strategies, and engage with learning. Candidate Profile:
* Experience working with children with SEMH needs
* Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and de-escalation techniques
* Patience, resilience and excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with challenging pupils
* Good communication skills with pupils, staff and parents
* Relevant qualifications in behaviour support or mental health would be beneficial
* Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children
