SEN Teaching Assistants – Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch Start Date: September 2025 Positions: Full-Time & Ad-Hoc Contracts: Supply & Permanent Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs (SEN)? Whether you have classroom experience, care sector experience, or are looking for a rewarding new career, we are recruiting dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our mainstream schools across the Dorset area. About the Roles You’ll have the opportunity to work in: Special schools, alternative provisions, and inclusive mainstream units Supporting students with a range of needs including ASD, SEMH, MLD, PMLD, and complex learning profiles 1:1 and small group support roles Working closely with teachers, therapists, and multi-disciplinary teams A mix of long-term roles and flexible day-to-day supply work What We’re Looking For We welcome applications from people who are: Passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with SEN Patient, empathetic, and resilient Experienced with children/young people (in education, care, or voluntary roles) Keen to learn and develop in a supportive setting Able to obtain (or already hold) an Enhanced DBS Whether you’re an experienced TA, support worker, or someone with transferable skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to build a meaningful career in SEN education.
