About the role/school
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming co-educational primary academy in Twickenham, supporting children aged 4-11. Job Responsibilities
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to implement personalised learning plans.
Support the delivery of engaging lessons across the curriculum.
Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and resilience.
Contribute to creating an inclusive classroom environment.
Promote positive behaviour and provide emotional support when needed.
Qualifications/Experience
To be successful as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need:
An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered with the Update Service.
The right to work in the UK.
Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a school is desirable.
A proactive, patient, and caring approach to working with children.
