Are you a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a significant impact? Long Term Futures are working with an exceptional primary school in Lambeth. This school is deeply committed to fostering the growth and development of every child, particularly those with diverse Special Educational Needs within a mainstream environment. This vital, full-time opportunity is within a "Good"-rated primary school in Lambeth. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring these pupils receive the bespoke assistance they require to thrive academically, socially, and personally. This is an ongoing position with strong potential for a permanent role. You'll collaborate closely with teachers, the SENCo, and other support staff, contributing to a dynamic and accessible curriculum designed to empower every student to achieve their full potential. What you'll do Deliver highly individualised support aligned with pupils' diverse SEN, addressing their specific needs. Assist with customised learning activities, adapting resources, and supporting the development of independence and essential life skills. Implement effective communication strategies and positive behaviour support strategies. Collaborate proactively with school staff and external professionals to ensure holistic pupil development. Monitor and accurately document pupil progress, providing valuable insights and feedback to the SEN team.Who we're looking for We need someone with proven experience supporting primary children with diverse SEN. You'll be adaptable, highly patient, and resilient, with a deep understanding of various SEN and effective support strategies. To be successful, you must have: Proven experience supporting primary children with diverse SEN. An adaptable, highly patient, and resilient approach to meeting individual pupil needs. Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
