APT Education is seeking a calm, patient, and emotionally intelligent 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to work closely with a non-verbal pupil in a nurturing primary school setting. 👩🏫 What You’ll Be Doing:
* Providing 1:1 support for a non-verbal pupil with additional needs
* Using visual aids, gestures, and alternative communication tools (AAC)
* Supporting emotional regulation and sensory needs
* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists
* Creating a safe, predictable environment that fosters trust and progress

* Experience in SEN, care, or communication support roles
* Calm, patient, and emotionally attuned
* Familiarity with non-verbal communication strategies (PECS, Makaton, AAC) is a plus
