Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (Day-to-Day)

Education Personnel are proud to be one of the leading education agencies in the East Midlands, supporting teachers and support staff in finding roles where they can truly make a difference.
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist academy in Peterborough for up to 117 pupils aged 4–16. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), with the primary area of need being Communication and Interaction, including a diagnosis of Autism. Many pupils also present with associated difficulties in areas such as cognition and learning, and sensory and physical needs.
This day-to-day role offers flexibility and the chance to gain invaluable experience working in a highly rewarding SEN setting.
The Role
*
Supporting pupils with Autism and associated learning needs in both small groups and 1:1 sessions
*
Helping to deliver tailored learning programmes in line with EHCPs
*
Promoting independence, communication, and positive engagement in school life
*
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and wider school staff to provide consistent support
What We’re Looking For

Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
*
Patience, resilience, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles
*
A genuine interest in supporting pupils with Autism and additional needs
*
Flexibility and reliability to work on a day-to-day basis
