A friendly and inclusive primary school in Newham is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team right away. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who need extra support, working closely with both staff and families to ensure every child reaches their potential.
About the Role:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.
Assist the class teacher in creating a positive, engaging learning environment.
Help implement individual learning plans and behaviour strategies.
Encourage independence, confidence, and emotional regulation in pupils.
Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to support progress.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable in approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA or SEN training) are desirable but not essential.
