Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a client specialist provision based in Newport. This role offers a unique opportunity to support children aged 3-16 who have varying degrees of complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and group support to students with complex needs, both in the classroom and during break times.
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored educational programs and activities.
Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Encourage social interaction and engagement among students.
Monitor student progress and contribute to individual learning plans.
Requirements:
Experience working with children, ideally in a special educational needs (SEN) setting.
Compassionate, patient, and adaptable to the diverse needs of students.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
