Teaching Assistant Opportunity – Make a Real Difference Every Day
Pay: £90.00–£104.00 per day
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to help young people build confidence, develop life skills, and thrive in their education.
What You’ll Be Doing
*
Supporting the class teacher with lessons and tailored activities
*
Encouraging positive behaviour and fostering an inclusive learning environment
*
Providing one-to-one support to students with additional needs, including autism
*
Assisting pupils with daily life skills and personal care where required
*
Promoting communication by supporting the use of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) systems, such as communication boards, speech-generating devices, or symbol-based tools
*
Working collaboratively with teachers and therapists to adapt resources for individual learning styles
*
Building strong, supportive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
What We’re Looking For
*
Experience working with children, ideally with SEN (especially autism)
*
Knowledge or experience of supporting communication through AAC is highly desirable
*
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to learning and behaviour support
*
Strong teamwork and communication skills
*
Essential: Previous SEN experience, Enhanced DBS (on the update service), and EWC registration
