Specialist Teaching Assistant – Part-Time (Mornings Only)
Location: Central Exeter Area to start ASAP (supporting pupil in Year 5)

Contract Type: Part-Time | Mornings Only (Monday–Friday)
Teaching Personnel is seeking a compassionate and skilled Specialist Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with communication and interaction needs in a local primary school. This is a part-time role, working mornings only, five days a week, ideal for someone with experience in SEND and a passion for inclusive education.
Role Overview:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with communication and interaction difficulties
Implement strategies to aid engagement, understanding, and social development
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
Monitor progress and contribute to regular reviews and reports
Requirements:
Experience supporting a child with SEND, particularly communication and interaction needs & SEMH.
Strong understanding of autism, speech and language difficulties, or similar needs
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
Relevant qualifications or training in SEND support (desirable)
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
