We are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Weymouth, working with pupils who have Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting ASAP, ideal for someone with experience or a strong interest in supporting children with high-level needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to pupils with PMLD, ensuring their safety, comfort, and engagement.
Assist with personal care and mobility needs, following individual care plans.
Support learning through sensory activities and communication aids.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver holistic care and education.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people with PMLD or complex needs (preferred).
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to assist with personal care and physical support.
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
