SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary (SEMH) Location: Warwick Start Date: ASAP / Flexible Hours: Full-time, Term Time Only Salary: £90-£100 per day (dependent on experience) Are you passionate about supporting young people who face social, emotional, and mental health challenges? Do you have the resilience, patience, and confidence to make a real difference in a secondary school setting? We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in a specialist provision in Warwick, working closely with students aged 11-16 who display challenging behaviour and have a range of SEMH needs. The Role: Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs De-escalate challenging situations and build positive, trusting relationships Assist the class teacher in creating a safe, inclusive learning environment Implement individual behaviour plans and emotional regulation strategies Monitor progress and provide feedback to the SENCO and pastoral team The Ideal Candidate: Experience working with secondary-aged students, ideally with SEMH or behavioural needs Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, firm but nurturing approach Resilient, empathetic, and committed to helping students achieve their potential Team player with excellent communication skills Relevant qualifications (e.g. Team Teach, MAPA, or a background in youth work or care) are desirable, but not essential What We Offer: A supportive and experienced staff team Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development A rewarding role where no two days are the same The chance to genuinely impact young lives Ready to take on a new challenge and help change lives in Warwick?
