About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students with autism and complex needs on a one-to-one and small group basis.
Help deliver a curriculum designed around practical, real-world learning experiences.
Build positive, trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement and personal growth.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for each learner.
Support with behaviour management, communication, and daily activities both inside and outside the classroom.
About You
Experience working with children or young people with SEND (in schools, youth work, or care settings).
Patient, empathetic, and proactive in your approach.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Understanding of SEND legislation (e.g. EHCPs) is an advantage.
A team player with a flexible, solution-focused mindset.
A driver with access to a vehicle is essential as travel across the two school sites will be required.
