Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Horley (RH6), Redhill (RH1) Contract: Full-Time ⏰Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Weekdays only⏰ ️Start Date: January 2025️ Pay: £89 - £105 per day Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference? A school in Horley is actively seeking passionate professionals to support children with a range of special educational needs. In these rewarding roles, you will work closely with pupils and multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalised learning plans that foster development and independence. About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting individual pupils or small groups with a range of learning needs, helping to remove barriers to learning and enabling every child to reach their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored support and create an inclusive, nurturing environment. Ideally candidate will be able to drive as their site in Horley is in a very rural area where public transport is not very accessible. Key Responsibilities: Provide close support for pupils with special educational needs Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Promote a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment Monitor and record pupils’ progress, feeding back to staff and parents Help manage behaviour and emotional regulation using positive interventions About You: Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow direction and use initiative when required Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) desirable We Offer: A supportive, collaborative work environment Access to ongoing professional development Flexible working options Opportunities in both mainstream and specialist settings If you’re a caring and committed individual with the drive to support children with additional needs, we’d love to hear from you.
