The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming all-through SEN school in Merton. The school supports students from Year 5 to Year 11 who present with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), speech and language difficulties, ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students who may display challenging behaviours, helping them engage with their education and reach their potential.
You’ll be working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a safe, nurturing learning environment, using your experience and initiative to de-escalate challenging situations and provide consistent support throughout the school day.
This role is ideal for someone with prior experience working with children or young people with complex needs, and who is committed to making a real difference in their lives.

This specialist all-through SEN school is located in the heart of Merton and caters to students in Years 5–11 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), speech and language communication needs, ADHD, and SEMH.
