Teaching Assistant - SEND / ASD Specialist | Primary | nr Maghull, Sefton 🌈
Daily Rate: £90 - £100
Full-Time | Term-Time Only | September 2025 Start
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
A welcoming, well-resourced, specialist SEND Primary School near Maghull, Sefton is seeking a committed and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This full-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.
🔹 The Role:
Providing 1:1 or small group support to pupils with ASD and complex needs.
Working closely with class teachers and therapists to deliver tailored learning.
Encouraging communication, independence, and engagement in the classroom.
Implementing structured routines and positive behaviour strategies.
🔹 Requirements:
Previous UK school experience is essential.
A solid understanding of autism, sensory processing, and communication difficulties.
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one).
