SEN Teaching Assistant - Psychology Graduates! Location: Tower Hamlets, East London Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary) Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum Are you a Psychology graduate ready to launch a rewarding career supporting children with special educational needs? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a compassionate and driven SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team on a permanent basis. You'll work closely with the SENCo, class teachers, and specialist staff to support children with a range of needs including Autism, Speech and Language Difficulties, and SEMH challenges. Role Responsibilities * Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN * Collaborate with teachers and SEN specialists to tailor support * Assist in creating and reviewing personalised learning plans * Foster communication skills, independence, and self-confidence in pupils * Access to ongoing training and development (ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Therapists or Teachers) The Ideal Candidate * A degree in Psychology (2:1 or above preferred) * A passion for inclusive education and supporting children with SEN * Empathetic, resilient, and proactive * Experience with children in any capacity (school, voluntary, family) is desirable * Long-term interest in child development, psychology, or education careers This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Psychology graduate to grow within a caring school community and gain experience that can open doors to further roles in education, mental health, or therapy.
