About the Role:
We’re working with a specialist SEN school in Redruth that supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning challenges. The school is looking for compassionate, proactive Teaching Assistants who can provide both classroom and 1:1 support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting students with complex needs in a structured, nurturing environment
* Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored interventions
* Assisting with personal care and behaviour regulation, where needed
* Helping to create an inclusive space where every child can thrive
* Supporting learning through sensory play, structured activities, and alternative communication methods
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or care setting)
* Calm, resilient, and able to build strong, consistent relationships
* A real passion for helping young people reach their full potential
* Team player with a positive, flexible approach
Desirable but not essential:
* Experience with autism, PMLD, or non-verbal communication
* Background in care, psychology, or youth work
