About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and emotionally intelligent SEN Teaching Assistant to join the school’s warm and welcoming team from September 2025. The role will involve providing one-to-one and in-class support to students with special educational needs across Key Stages 3–5, helping them navigate the curriculum and grow in confidence.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is either trained in or passionate about a particular subject area (e.g. English, Maths, Science, or Humanities) and is looking to make a real difference in young people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
• Support SEN students across a range of subjects and key stages
• Provide both academic and emotional support, adapting strategies to individual needs
• Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored learning plans
• Encourage independence and positive engagement in the classroom
Candidate Requirements
• Previous experience supporting students with SEN (preferably in a secondary setting)
• Subject-specific strengths or interests are highly desirable
• A calm, kind, and intellectual approach to working with young people
• Strong communication, initiative, and teamwork skills
