SEN Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary
Rochdale
£90 - £105 per day
Age group: Flexible
Working hours: Monday to Friday (8:30-3:30)
Start date: September (dependant on references and DBS)
Value Education are looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work at the Primary schools we support in the Rochdale area.
The ideal candidates will have a passion for education and be committed to helping each child in the most effective way depending on the individual needs.
Teaching Assistant duties:
Assisting the Class Teacher in preparing work for the lesson ahead
Ensuring the classroom is a tidy and safe environment for the children
Assisting with group activities
Delivering tailored lessons and supporting with interventions on a 1:1 and group basis
Providing additional support to children with a range of SEN needs
Working inside and outside the classroom
Delivering tailored lessons
Teaching Assistant requirements:
Previous experience working with children
Confident in communicating with parents, pupils and members of staff
Be able to handle difficult situations efficiently
Be inspired to help students learn in new and exciting ways
Experience of supporting SEN needs in a school setting
Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant experience)
