About the Role

Teach Now is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN teaching assistant with a specialism in managing challenging behaviours to join a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Harrow this September.

Key Responsibilities
• Support students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and other behavioural challenges across KS1 and KS2
• Implement strategies to help pupils regulate emotions and remain engaged in learning
• Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and pastoral staff to ensure continuity and consistency in behavioural support
• Contribute to creating a safe, calm, and stimulating environment
• Build trusting relationships with pupils and their families
Ideal Candidate
• Experience working with children with SEMH or challenging behaviours
• Strong behaviour management techniques and a calm, empathetic approach
• Ability to remain composed and adaptable under pressure
• A genuine passion for inclusive education
• Relevant training or qualifications (Team Teach, MAPA, etc.) are advantageous
