About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in challenging behaviours to support pupils across Key Stages 1 and 2. You will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to help students engage with their learning, regulate their emotions, and build positive relationships.
Key responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with behavioural challenges
• Implement strategies to de-escalate and manage difficult behaviour
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCP reviews
• Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
About you:
• Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs
• Strong understanding of de-escalation techniques and behaviour management
• Resilient, emotionally intelligent, and calm under pressure
• Committed to inclusion and pupil wellbeing
• Team player with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
