Are you a patient and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
GSL Education are looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a nurturing school in Doncaster. This role is a fantastic opportunity to work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils who require additional support in their learning and development.
Role Overview:
As a SEN TA, you’ll support pupils with special needs, help them learn, and work with teachers to create an inclusive classroom.
Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
Provide tailored support for pupils with a range of SEN.
Assist with learning activities, communication, and emotional regulation.
Work closely with teachers and SENCO to implement individual learning plans.
Encourage pupil independence and social inclusion.
Promote a calm, safe, and positive learning environment.
Requirements for SEN TA:
Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or care setting.
A calm, compassionate, and proactive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Have a CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps explained and have an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
