Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Ealing, West London Sector: Secondary Job Type: Permanent / Temporary / Part-time Salary: £(Apply online only) per day (dependent on experience) Starts: September 2025 Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them thrive in a secondary school environment? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Secondary SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team across West London schools in Hillingdon, Ealing, Hounslow, Harrow, and Brent. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with SEN students to support their learning, social development, and emotional well-being, helping them to reach their full potential. Benefits of working with Teaching Personnel: Flexible working option Ongoing support and CPD such as thrive courses Personal consultant (1:1) Expansive school network Competitive pay rate and pension scheme Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to SEN students in and out of the classroom Assist teachers in delivering differentiated learning activities Support the development of students’ communication, social, and independence skills Monitor student progress and report to teaching staff and SEN coordinators Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment Assist with behavioural management strategies as needed Candidate specification: Experience working with SEN students in a secondary school setting Strong understanding of SEN needs and teaching strategies Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, NVQ, CACHE) are desirable but not essential Commitment to supporting inclusion and diversity All applicants must be willing to undergo vetting checks as part of the school’s commitment to Safeguarding and Anti-bullying.
