SEN Tutor – Banbury
Location: Banbury and surrounding areas
Pay: £20–£30 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Flexible
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutor to join our team, supporting students in Banbury who require additional help to reach their full potential.
About the Role
As an SEN Tutor, you will work with learners with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and dyslexia. You will create and deliver engaging, individualised learning programmes designed to build confidence, develop skills, and promote academic progress. Sessions may take place at the student’s home, school, or a local community venue.
Key Responsibilities
Assess each student’s needs and learning goals
Plan and deliver a tailored scheme of work to meet individual targets
Provide one-to-one tuition in a supportive and structured environment
Adapt teaching methods to suit each learner’s needs and interests
Record progress and communicate effectively with parents, schools, and other professionals
About You
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a minimum of 3 years’ tutoring experience
Experience supporting young people with SEN, particularly ASD, ADHD, and dyslexia
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable in your approach
Confident working independently and managing your own caseload
Able to travel to students’ homes, schools, and local venues in and around Banbury

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
