Job Description
We are looking for a professional and compassionate SEN Tutor to provide empathy and ongoing support to children and young people in their own homes in the Tonbridge and Malling area.
ROLE: SEN TUTOR / SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS TEACHING ASSISTANT

As a key member of the tutoring team, you will be responsible for the following:
* Creating and delivering individualised learning plans tailored to the needs of the young person.
* Helping students to learn appropriate skills and mentoring them through the learning units.
* Taking initiative in resolving issues, anticipating needs, and delivering the relevant support.
* Remaining calm and composed under pressure, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
* Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on the young person's progress.
* Communicating with parents and carers over students’ progress.
As a Tutor, you will have a positive, approachable demeanour, strong organisational and communication skills with the natural ability to build strong, trusting relationships with learners and their families.
As an experienced SEN Tutor, you will have a professional teaching/ tutoring background, a familiarity teaching English and/or Maths, as well as knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment for children or young people.
